Esteem and the little things in life

Focus on the good stuffWhen we integrate esteem into our daily life we perceive more intensely the world around us.

With esteem we pause to see a flower blooming on the sidewalk or find joy in the smiling face of a child.  Our reaction is to return the smile or to stand in awe at the strength and beauty of nature.  Esteem makes us aware of the little things in life.

Esteem also encourages us to give small signs of appreciation without expecting an answer.  We say a friendly word toward people we meet or we just smile at them.  Esteem helps us enjoy the little things in life.

Looking back we even realize that such little signs of esteem were the beginning of big things in life.  Realizing this can make the little things in our life very precious.

Let’s focus on the good things in life!

Reader reviews

This book was a complete inspiration. It’s depth moves me to take action. It goes way beyond superficial appreciation and into exploring what authentic appreciation is.

I thought this was a great book. I liked the exercises throughout the book. They were thoughtful and really made me think about what I focus on everyday, both positive and negative. I’ll definitely refer back to this book periodically.

This relatively short and fast read is a quick shot of goodness that may be just what you need to help you refocus on what is good. I recommend this book to any one who needs a little lift and the author did a great job.
