Madrid in Spain is one of these cities. Recently, after more than five years of construction in this beautiful city, planners were able to declare the projects complete. The renovation project included rerouting traffic underground so that the city’s center was opened for pedestrians.
With its renewed appearance Madrid gives esteem towards its citizens and tourists. On the other hand, the city receives esteem from the people who enjoy the beautiful plazas, facades and a great open atmosphere.
Giving esteem toward the cities of other cultures creates openness between people and memorable life experiences for ourselves.

You can count on Rick Steves to tell you what you really need to know when traveling in Spain.
This is my first Rick Steves guidebook, as I’ve always been drawn to the beautiful photo’s in the Eyewitness books. I’m really glad I purchased this one for my first solo trip to Europe. It’s been a great resource, with a great deal of very useful information. The amount of information and detail he provides would take weeks of research and makes the book well worth the price.
A terrific guidebook. Directions and suggestions are very much to the point and I almost can hear Rick reading them to me. All in all a great guidebook to Spain. I can not wait to put it to road use next week.
Like all his traveling books. This one is well written, easy to follow and helpful to plan your trip.
